A festival billed as Jeremy Corbyn‘s “own Glastonbury” is struggling to shift tickets.
According to the Huffington Post, only 15% of its ticket allocation has been sold, meaning only 2,500 tickets have been purchased the site’s capacity of 15,700 people.
It’s set to held at the White Hart Lane Recreational Ground in Tottenham on June 16 and Labour MPs, and Trade Unions and are now being asked to promote the festival.
Key note speeches are also promised, including the likes of Corbyn himself as well as Owen Jones, John McConnell and Kate Osamor.
Labour Live was announced back in March, following Jeremy Corbyn’s appearance on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury Festival last year, where he received a rapturous response as he introduced Run The Jewels.
“This place in Glastonbury is truly wonderful. I remember coming here as a child, being taken up to Glastonbury Tor by my mum and dad and I thought what a magical area this is because there’s something very special about it”, Corbyn told the Glastonbury crowd.
“It’s a place where people come together and they achieve things. We have a democracy because people lay down their lives so that we might get the right to vote.”
