You don’t have to cancel your weekend plans after all…
Following England’s progression to the quarter-finals of the 2018 World Cup last night (July 3), fans across the country are now making their plans for watching the team’s next match in the tournament this coming weekend.
England are now just two steps away from making the World Cup final for the first time since 1966, with Gareth Southgate’s team set to face Sweden at 3pm on Saturday afternoon (July 7).
The kick-off time is set to clash with three major festivals which are taking place in the UK this weekend: Wireless Festival, British Summer Time and TRNSMT Festival.
Unfortunately for football fans attending The Cure’s gig at BST in Hyde Park, London on Saturday, the festival have confirmed to NME that they will not be showing the game. Check out the stage times for BST Hyde Park here to decide where to be and when…
TRNSMT told us that they will be a football-free zone, too – although that may not be a huge surprise for any England fans going, given the festival’s location in Glasgow.
We are awaiting news from Wireless on whether or not they’ll be showing any World Cup footage.
According to reports, Liam Gallagher refused to headline The Isle of Wight Festival on the final day of this year’s event as it clashed with England’s group game with Panama.
