Watch Nicki Minaj’s fiery video for ‘Ganja Burn’ from new album ‘Queen’

All hail the Queen

Nicki Minaj has shared the video for ‘Ganja Burn’, the opening track from her new album ‘Queen’.

The video is an elaborate recreation of the album cover art, featuring Minaj dressed like Cleopatra.

Directors Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, who also made the album artwork, create epic scenes of desert fires and men bowing down to a scantily-clad Queen Minaj.

‘Queen’ was released a week early on Friday (August 10) after numerous scrapped release dates.

Lil Wayne, Eminem, Ariana Grande, Future, and the Weeknd are some of the guests on Minaj’s first record in four years.

In other recent news, Minaj has launched her own Apple Beats 1 radio show.

During her premiere show she clarified that new album cut ‘Barbie Dreams’ wasn’t a true diss track and was instead aimed at rappers “who can take a joke and not be emotional about it.”

Minaj’s lyrics in the song include: “Drake worth a hundred milli, always buying me shit/But I don’t know if the pussy wet or if he cryin’ and shit”, and “I tried to fuck 50 for a powerful hour, but all that n**** want to do is talk Power for hours” (50 Cent).

As NME’s Jordan Bassett adds further, ‘Barbie Dreams’ is Minaj burying the hatchet with Lil Kim.

‘Queen’ is out now via Young Money; Cash Money.
