Amy Adams says she ‘thinks’ she’s ‘out of the DC Universe’

Amy Adams has said she “thinks” she’s “out of the DC Universe” in a new interview.

The actor played Lois Lane in 2017’s Justice League and 2013’s Man Of Steel but has told Aquaman’s Nicole Kidman she doesn’t think she will appear in the DC EU again.

“I think I’m out of the DC Universe,” she said, as she welcomed Kidman into the realm during a joint interview for Variety. “I was in it for a while but I think they’re revamping that, I don’t know the details.”

Kidman responded: “But you’re not ever allowed to really discuss anything to do with it until it’s out, right?” The Australian actor plays Queen Atlanna in Aquaman – her first superhero movie since 1995’s Batman Forever.

Adams may not be the only DC star to be out of the franchise. Her Man Of Steel co-star Henry Cavill could be about to hang up Superman’s cape, according to reports earlier this year. He is expected to appear in the Justice League sequel, although a planned cameo in Shazam! may no longer be on the cards.

Cavill responded to the rumours with a cryptic Instagram post of him wearing a t-shirt that read “Krypton lifting team” while lifting a Superman doll. He captioned the post: “Today was exciting #Superman.”

Meanwhile, Warner Bros. is reportedly already in talks about an Aquaman sequel. The film gets its UK-wide release on Wednesday (December 12) and in the US on December 21, but box office takings are already predicted to reach $65 million (£51 million).
