Liam Gallagher teases new music and hints we may hear it soon

Gallagher hints we may hear the music at his upcoming Union Chapel gig

Liam Gallagher has teased new music via Twitter after telling his followers that he had spent the week in L.A. with “an army of songwriters.”

Gallagher, who released his debut solo album ‘As You Were’ in 2017, made the comment on Twitter last night (December 7).

In the tweet, Gallagher wrote: “Biblical Wk in LA with my army of songwriters LG still got it.”

He then also revealed that some of this new music would be seen at his intimate upcoming gig in Union Chapel on December 13 in a response to a fan who asked if any new material could be expected at this gig.

The gig, in aid of homeless charity Shelter, will be Gallagher’s final UK gig of 2018. Speaking about his appearance at the gig earlier this year, Gallagher said: “No child should have to wake up homeless on Christmas day, which is why I’ll be playing a very special acoustic gig this December.

“This gig will be a one-off; a chance to raise some money for all the great work Shelter does to stop homelessness.”

Yesterday, Glastonbury’s Emily Eavis said she would “love to have Liam” perform at the festival but did not  confirm rumours that Gallagher had already confirmed himself for the festival in 2019 following his appearance at the Pilton Party earlier this year.

In the same interview with Matt Wilkinson for Beats 1, Eavis teased another Glastonbury headliner would be announced before Christmas and responded to Matty Healy’s claims that They 1975 could headline in 2020.
