We can’t wait…
Mark Hamill has revealed a new look of the Child’s Play reboot – check out the post below.
Taking to Twitter today (April 16) the veteran Star Wars actor, who voices the evil toy Buddi (formerly known as Chucky) in the forthcoming movie, posted the first full look at the revamped character.
“He’s more than a toy… He’s your best friend! Your first full look at Chucky is here. Don’t miss @ChildsPlayMovie, in theaters June 21st. 🔪🔪🔪 #ChildsPlayMovie #TimeToPlay,” Hamill wrote.
Child’s Play is a remake of the 1988 horror classic of the same name. The Lars Klevberg-directed film is released in the US on June 21, 2019 but is yet to have a UK release date.
Aubrey Plaza (Scott Pilgrim vs. the World) and Brian Tyree Henry (Atlanta, If Beale Street Could Talk) join Hamill in the remake.
The film will copy the original plot, with Plaza playing a single mother who gives her son a toy doll, unaware that it possesses the soul of a serial killer.
Now named Buddi, the murderous doll is more hi-tech in the upcoming version, though the toy still wears the iconic blue dungarees and stripy jumper…and possesses the same bloodthirsty streak.
